This is a feature for larger installations of sixbit.
As we all know every install of sixbit installs the agent service. We are instructed however to turn off agent tasks on all but one computer.
If you have a lot of listings, that one agent often gets overwhelmed. For example, this is something we have been battling for a couple of years.When a lot of listings expire or GTC listings roll over, the agent gets so busy refreshing listings that orders don't come in. We have to kill the process to manually refresh orders, making the situation even worse, since the listing refresh process starts all over. It's a catch 22.
Here is what I propose:
Create a control, either in the UI or in the DB to allow certain task to be assigned to certain agents on different computers.
For example: PC1 will handle refreshing orders. PC2 will handle refreshing listings. PC3 will handle reallocation. PC4 will handle revisions. PC5 will handle scheduled listings. ETC.
IMO something really has to be done, because one week out of every month, if not longer is a nightmare of orders not coming in automatically. I'm tired of it.
PLEASE do something. How hard can it be to resolve this. It is a huge problem for us and has been for years.
