Re-Create/Relist Old Items as New to Improve SEO

I sell 1 of a kind unique items, Used Car Parts, with 5% being multi qty (2-6 available with some sold history). Many of 1 have been relisted for 2-4 yrs and no sales. I am wondering if I was to NOT relist old unsold items that end. Instead import them out to CSV to freshen up, move around words in titles, price, some description updates, update item specifics, maybe rename/delete/move around images, then re-import everything back to SB. Would it be more beneficial to tell SB to create new items or update items? My thought is with changes to 90% of the listing info, new re-named/swapped around images, submitted to eBay “Force as new” would look like totally new never listed before items and boost Best Match & move these items which were way down on search results and not seen. Last year revised many old listings and tried different duration's GTC, 30 days and Auction and got a spike in sales, but short lived. Even if I revise and update everything in old items it still doesn't help with search as eBay knows its an old non performing listing, just freshened up! For new changes unfortunately some data will not change, like item specs MPN or some back links I built would still use the old numbers/characters so not sure if this will give it away..?! Will this create conflicts with or should I delete old items after creating the new ones from old ones? I know people want to buy these parts as I get asked for them, so I just need to get them seen again. I confirmed this by doing a 1 week 50% off sale and immediately items with no sales in 3 years sold! I conclude this is because Best Match is the default filter where old non performing listings get knocked to the bottom but buyers filtering search results by price from low-High will see my items. I lost a little in this test but worth the education. *********************** My performance details; I meet & exceed all of eBays requirements & have been Top Rated with 100% feedback for years. Recently, mostly after December, when they started rolling out new site and mobile changes, each month my sales have declined and now at the point of standing water! I am always researching Listing Optimization for Google & eBay so I am almost certain it is because half of my listings are over 2-4 years old and the internet likes new and fresh as well as proven performers which get boosted to top of results/best match.
